Hydrographic Surveys and Route Surveys

UTEC offers a complete range of hydrographic survey services, including desktop studies (DTS), topographic landing surveys, shallow-water (including diver swim) surveys, IHO bathymetry, pre- and post-dredge, submarine cable and pipeline route surveys, covering the whole route from landing site, near shore to full ocean depths.

UTEC also provides geotechnical services for burial assessment surveys (BAS) in water depths down to 1500 meters using its Roson CPT (see Geotechnical services) and other sampling equipment. We partner with local independent laboratories to provide analysis and reporting of seabed samples, coupled with independent third-party burial assessments and our own survey reports.

Submarine telecommunication and power cable route surveys

UTEC’s submarine telecommunication and power cable route survey expertise runs deep, from desktop study (DTS) and topographic landing to diver swim surveys, from landing, near shore to full ocean depth. We conduct cable burial assessments (BAS) down to 1500 meters water depth, employing cone penetration technology (CPT) coupled to conventional physical sampling with gravity, piston and grab sampling systems.
